FIR Filed Against Babul Supriyo Over Fake Post in Kolkata

The Kolkata Police has filed a case against Babul Supriyo who is a Member of Parliament from Asansol and the Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in the Union Council of Ministers from BJP, for sharing fake photos of Bengal Chief Secretary Rajiva Sinha on Twitter.

The police initiated action against the minister for the photo he shared on May 8 which allegedly shows Rajiva Sinha drinking with some people, it was also alleged that one of them is Mamata Banerjee’s brother Kartik Banerjee.

The South division of the Kolkata Police announced that the photo shared is fake.

The FIR was registered under IPC sections 153A and 505 and other sections of the Information Technology Act.
